Wow, I used to watch this video over and over again back in 2016, it doesn't even seem like 7 years ago... oh, how time flies. For some reason I consider this video a very special one.

Here is a fact when you buy a abandon vintage car from like the 50s and etc those cars has a story of a it's own

My first VW was a '56 panel van, which I drove for years (bought it for $100 in 1972). Eventually, I put a 1600 engine in it, and an upgraded transmission; paid for all the parts and mechanical needs with some of my weed crop! Drove it from CA (Whale Gulch) to NYS without a problem! It was my favorite van ever...! Finally had to put her to rest in '81. Word is she wound up being a chicken coop. :(

I just happened to come across this video again, having seen it some years ago. Blew my mind all over again that you fixed her all up out in the forest. Somehow, I didn't remember that part of the story. I was expecting it to be towed out of the woods and repaired there, but NOT! What an awesome coup! Great group of friends to have for such an adventure! Kudos all over again!

I have 1962 split bus and I my right side wiper stopped working. I was looking for how the mechanism was, thanks for the video.

Those things were designed to work in combat zones not sure what year the bus or panel van were introduced but the pre-date WW2!

This is my favourite kombi saved shows have u still have it.

Just imagine. 30 or 40 years ago, they would pay mayby 150 or 200 euro's for scrap. And now if it's restored, they would go for 30, 40 to 50,000 euro's or even more! I live in Holland, and those one's would really go for that price. Thats insane! 😮😂

yust i love it i love combis but somthing funny its going on the credits its A flying cara into de grass and it shuts down with the bird sound like chip chip

Some may think i'm nuts but i think one of the best looking vehicles ever. Just look at the video of this van coming out of and driving through the forest. Wonderful. Give me a restored split screen over any super car any day.
